How To Improve MOHAASH Game Play
If you notice that you just dont seem to have a smooth game, or are out of sync with the rest of the players and the server, open up the console window while in game, and type this (this will help with other players being choppy too):
It will show you if that is enabled or not:
If you see it's 1, that is good - it means that it's turned on. If it's a 0, then it's turned off. The default is 0, but you can turn it on by typing the following and hitting enter:
This will improve the game flow on your computer and basically sync your data transfer in a more efficient way and align your crosshairs more effectively (that is the short and simple explaination :darn PC!: )
Smoothclients deals with delaying frames. A smoothing buffer, takes frames from the server and delays them before sending them to the client. This makes movement smoother and more fluid. All of that is set on the server. The part I showed you above is the client side. It helps with packet loss that other players may experience, in addition to low rates or low maxpackets (200+ ping players skip across the screen). Enabling cg_smoothClients puts in more prediction code for those players, which will make them move as they should on your screen and on the server. The serverside cvar "g_smoothclients" needs to be enabled to use the client side cvar "cg_smoothclients" or prediction errors will happen.
