Here is a quick tutorial on how to add custom channel icons and add a server banner. You must be a server admin to do this! Note that your experience may vary...

First things first... It's easier to do when you have your icons mapped out. The channel icons are 16x16, so once you figure out what icons you want, gather them all in one place. For those that don't have any icons, or cannot find suitable ones, I can make/alter an image to size for you.

The next thing to do is create a server banner suitable for TS3. These can be any size, however, a good starting point would be 250x50. My preference is to have a transparent background so this way the users with custom skinned TS3 clients can have a better viewing experience, but, a solid background is also ok. Just keep in mind that the background color you choose might make the banner hard to see depending on the user's TS3 background color/pattern/image. I can also make a custom server banner for those that do not have that capability.

Ok, now that you have all of your stuff together, lets get started!

1. Open TS3, and connect to your server. Once online, right click the main server icon in the channel tree on the left side, and select EDIT VIRTUAL SERVER.

2. On the admin window, you have the a lot of settings. We will go through them one at a time:
  1. Enter the name you want for your server
  2. Enter a custom message to be displayed when a user logs on (will be displayed in message window at the bottom of the TS window)
  3. This is where you can upload a server favicon, just like websites have. Its the little icon that is on the web browser's tab next to the site name. Click on the drop down button, and select EDIT. A window will appear, and select UPLOAD under the left box. Once you upload the icon, simply double click on the icon you want to use
  4. Your server banner must be hosted online somewhere, such as your own website, or a free image hosting place like ImageShack - enter the URL to your server banner here
  5. Here is where you enter a web address to send users to if they click on your banner
  6. This is really important! Make sure you have it set to this: Adjust and Keep Aspect Ratio - this will allow the server banner to re-size and keep it's shape when a user re-sizes the TS3 window
  7. When you are done, hit the APPLY button, and then OK button.

When done, your TS3 window should reflect the changes like so:

3. Now, lets add the channel icons. Right click on the channel you want to edit, and select EDIT CHANNEL.

Just like adding the favicon for the entire server, simply click on the drop down button to upload the channel icon, and select EDIT ICON:

Once the new window appears, click on the UPLOAD button:

Find the icon you want to use for that channel, and once you upload it simply double click on it. The Edit Icon window will close and take you back to the channel edit window, and your selected icon will show!

That's all there is to it - simply repeat step 3 for each of the channels you want to add an icon for. Once done, you will have a totally pimped out TeamSpeak3 Server - Enjoy!
